Windows 10

Just made the change to Windows 10 and am having a problem getting Media Companion to pin to the start list. I can pin it to the taskbar, but not the start list. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction to do this, thanks!

Good question, but sorry i can't answer that one.

It may be because media companion isnt an installed program? Just a guess...

Right-click on "Media Companion.exe" and select "Pin to Start" - works fine.

OK, seems there is a known issue in Windows 10 that prevents the pinning of items to the start menu when you have more than 512 items installed. To find out if this is the case, in powershell type GET-STARTAPPS | MEASURE. This will display the number of items - in my case it was over 600. After I uninstalled a bunch of older items and got that number around 500, I was able to pin Media Companion to the start menu.

There is supposedly a fix in the works - hope this helps in the mean time.
