Duplicates not showing

Dec 10, 2015 at 1:56 AM
I should have 8 movies that are duplicates. The 3 original Star Wars, 3 of the remastered Star Wars, and a movie that is theatrical and unrated. In the duplicates tab it shows 8. When I choose to show the duplicates it shows the 6 Star Wars. MC says displaying 6 of 5018.

Speaking of that when I refresh MC says scanning 5161 but comes up with displaying 2605 of 5018.

Does anyone know what's going on?

But if any one can help with the scanning 5161 and only showing 5018 that would solve a mystery as well. I have a 109 different sets folders so that actually puts it at 5052.

Hi BesterH13

So, I've figured this one out.
MC counts all folders, and sub folders (except for .actors folders, and some others) and this is the total folders scanned.
So if you have a Root Movie Folder
ie: Z:\Movies
That's one folder
Say you have a Set folder and a movie under that.
ie: The Fast and the Furious Collection
Z:\Movies\The Fast and the Furious Collection\Fast & Furious 6 (2013)

That's folders 2 and 3.
Say you also have a DVD in folder structure
ie: Z:\Movies\Fright Night (2011)\VIDEO_TS
There are folders 4 and 5.

You will always get a higher folders scanned than movies found, cause we can have Movies in the Root Folder.
ie: Z:\Movies\Titanic.mkv
and in sub folders
ie: Z:\Movies\Brave (2012)\Brave (2012).mkv

As for your I have a 109 different sets folders, are there separate sub folders within these set folders? or are the Set of movies under the Sets Folders
Z:\Movies\Die Hard Collection\Die Hard (1988).mkv
Z:\Movies\Die Hard Collection\Die Hard 2 (1990).mkv
Z:\Movies\Die Hard Collection\Die Hard With A Vengence (1995).mkv etc

This would all count as one Folder to scan even though Three movies are found with it.

Hope this is of help.
