Release Notes

PLEASE NOTE - IF you are having issues scraping TV episodes, it may be because the ID in the show .nfo file is incorrect (IMDB id, instead of TVDb id).
Try checking 'Fix NFO id during cache rebuild' under the TV Preferences tab (bottom-right). Then, under the TV Shows menu, select Rebuild Shows.

General:
  • A bunch of User Interface changes (ongoing)

Movies:
Added
  • Stars field added to main browser
Fixed
  • Actors list now gets populated
  • Context menu in movie list works correctly
  • Poster cropping fixed
  • Fixed occasional scrape errors for Director and Runtime fields

TV Shows:
Added
  • New splash screen for cache rebuild
  • Increased the size of Show and Episode count boxes
Fixed
  • XBMC scraper error when default language used
  • File details re-added to NFO
  • Partial return of multiepisode NFOs (* see note below)

Known Issues
  • Multiespisode NFOs incomplete (* see note below for workaround)
  • Display Missing Episodes not working
  • TV Show list does not display padlock

* Note - unfortunately, this is just a hack until it gets fixed properly (hopefully for next week). The multiepisode NFO is created correctly (and is properly read by XBMC) but is not updated in cache.
However, on program exit, the NFO is overwritten by what's stored in cache. So it is important to Rebuild Shows to update the cache before exiting MC.

Reviews for this release

Everything is working very well now. Long loading times have vanished. This does require deleting ALL old nfo files (Both tvshow.nfo files and individual episode nfo's). Great to have MC back in working order. Thanks guys.

It took some work but I got the TVShows working. I deleted all the old tvshow.nfo files from the tv show folders, then rebuilding from there helped. Thanks for the hard work!

Great - although several issues found where it would bomb out. Big issue with the TV shows as others - seemed to be solved by ensuring the the Status of the shows is set to open. When unverified they don't get parsed... Is there a way to add a thumbnail for movie sets?

I've had NO PROBLEMS whatsoever! Apart from the known issues, I'd say this is as close to a stable version as it's ever been. keep up the great work MC team!

Hi, do you know TVShows scraping works only with english text ? General plot is ok, but episode plot and episode name are buggy (accented character). exemple (french) general : <plot>Richard Castle est un écrivain à succès spécialisé dans ... Episode (s01e03): <title>Amis à la vie, à la mort</title> <plot>Le fils d'une riche famille, à présent ruinée, est retrouvé mort à Central Park...

TV Show's don't appear to working at all for me! I goto TV Shows --> Folders "List of Root folders" is able to be saved fine, but the "List of separate folders" never gets saved!! *sigh... is there an earlier stable version I should rather be using?

Can't give it a great review since TV scraping is still not working. I tried checking the "Fix NFO id during cache rebuild", also deleted my tvcache.xml file, but nothing seems to fix this. I started wondering if my nfo file is messed up. I have two id tags, <tvdbid> and <id> is it supposed to be that way? Everything OK on the movies end for me.

Most of the issues i have experienced have been fixed. However when using the Batch Rescrape Wizard, the runtime is not set correctly, it is set to 0. Using the the Rescrape Movie feature sets the runtime correct.
