Release Notes

Sorry all, but this is a last minute rush to get something out for testing some of the issues reported.
Please refer to the Source Code tab for details of work done, but to summarise:
An issue with threading has been addressed.
Some reverse-engineering of mc_com.exe has been undertaken, and is up for some beta-testing! ;-)
An enhancement to allow the user to save the selected fanart to disk (thanks Ian).
Hopefully, multi-episode TV shows are working properly (sorry, I should have checked it!).
Had a quick look before, and it looks like the TV Shows list is working again, including some work towards missing episodes.

So try them out, and let us know about any new issues!

Ensure you have .NET4.0 installed (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=17718)
Do a clean install, i.e. delete all existing files except Settings folder, OR copy Settings folder to new install directory.


A big thanks to the recently volunteered developers, and especially the users who have contributed some code and bug-fixes - much appreciated, guys!

TV Shows scrape well for me. However, movies no longer scrape and give scraper errors. Tried backtracking, v3.417b had this as well, 416 scrapes ok. Scrapes DOES return correct poster and fanart, and votes & rating as well, however, everything else is set as "scraper error" , like title, year, description, plot etc. Rescraping doesn't solve it.

This is a great build and an improvement from the previous v3.4.1.6 build that I was using. Love the fact that there is a visual indicator (blue ? button) on un-verified TV Shows. I have been using this build for a few days and except for the known issues, it’s good. The team really needs to get the list filters working for TV Shows.

Crashed when upgrading over 3.416 (same issue when upgrading to 3.417 from 3.416) but a clean install to a new folder seems to work fine. No other issues so far.

Crash when trying to rebuild TV show. System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Media_Companion.Form1.tv_CacheRebuild() at Media_Companion.Form1.RebuildShowsToolStripMenuItem_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

Crashes on startup for me (as did 3.417) so I can't rate anything other than 1 star.
