Adding or changing Fanart or Posters

Fanart

It couldn't be simpler to adjust the artwork that accompanies your media, Whether the art is missing for a certain movie, or you just don't like the first draw the scraper dealt you, all you have to do is head over to the appropriate tab in MC to change it out.

After choosing the movie you wish to change the art for, the Fanart window will give you some other choices straight away on the left hand side. Just select the one you prefer and save your choice by choosing either of the save buttons; Hi-res for use with high resolution displays, or Lo-res if you want to save space.
If none of those are to your liking, you can even use one of your own that's stored locally, or one you've found on the internet by clicking URL or Browse.
Fanart should be 1920x1080 or 1280x720 for best results so if there's an image you love, keep in mind that re-sizing can cause degradation or malformation.

Posters

Changing posters works similarly, except that you have four options to choose from regarding where to get the posters from.
When you first go to the poster window after selecting a movie it will be blank until you choose one of the four buttons corresponding to the four websites to scrape posters from.
Any of the four will usually give you many options to choose from, but bare in mind that results will often include several choices in different languages.
As with fanart, you also have the option to use a custom poster by using the URL or Browse button.
For custom posters, the appropriate ratio is about 9:15 with 1080 being the largest possible vertical resolution, so the largest a poster needs to be is about 648x1080. Of course, the best resolution for each person is whatever works with the resolution of the display it will be viewed on.
