Not Responding after Movie Scrape

description

After pressing "Search for new movies" MC searches and scrapes movies fine then locks up for about 30 mins before the log dialog is displayed. It peaks my cpu so it's definitely doing something. After the log dialog displays everything works fine. But between finish scraping and the log dialog MC becomes unusable for about 30 mins. This doesn't happen with scraping tv shows.

I thought it was doing a refresh on my movie collection but selecting "Refresh all movies" is a much quicker process.

Windows 7 Professional x64
MC 3.500 and MC 3.503b

Sometime before 3.500 it didn't happen but I couldn't tell you what version it started in.

Hopefully fixed under 'Bug fix : frmoutputlog_Load code commented out as causes a continuous loop + the log file has already been formatted.
Addresses issue 551 - Media Companion hangs on Windows 8 (not actually Windows 8 related, just a bug)'

I too am experiencing the same issue. I have a movie library of about 1400 movies. I was using 3.416b and thought I would get up-to-date, but in every version 3.5+ the search new movies locks machine up.

I too see a lock up with the 3.5 series after the movie scraping and before the output log screen displays. That said, mine only freezes for around 5 mins.

I have 1000 movies. Using MC 3.503b on Win7 x64.

Well, sounds like the number of movies has something to do with it. I have 2400.

Seem to be seeing a lot of errors, lock ups and crashes with Win7 x64. Seems to be a trend.
