Collection folder, or Single folder for all Movie Set artwork?

Jun 9, 2015 at 7:54 AM
Hi,
Can you tell me how I should be setting up my set artwork folders?

I have a drive, with each movie in its own folder.

I have over 1500 movies.

How would I best be advised to setup my MovieSet Artwork?

DO I create a folder in the root of my drive called SetArtwork? Will mediacompanion pick this up as a movie folder when scraping?

Any advice would be great thanks....

I suggest a common MovieSet Artwork folder, and add the name of this folder to the Exclude folder from scrape list in General Preferences.

I tried both methods, and this was by far the simplest method.

So if you have z:\ as your root movie folder, create a folder called MovieSetArt.
In MC just add MovieSetArt to the exclude list, not Z:\MovieSetArt, and MC will skip over this folder when scanning for new movies.

Last, set the the MovieSet Artwork options in Movie Preferences -> Artwork tab, to Common Folder and pick the Z:\MovieSetArt folder as the path.

All done.
